A fall inspired, crock pot, breakfast recipe – this is a win, win, win!
I don’t know about you, but I am gearing up for fall already! Don’t get me wrong, I really love summer – playing outside, the temps, the beautiful mornings, and the fresh air! But, the smells of fall, the comforting recipes, hoodies, and the feeling of that warm coffee mug in my hand while the cool, crisp air is around me – nothing beats it! This gluten free breakfast recipe is perfect for the upcoming cooler temps!
My first meal for the fall season had to make use of the crock pot! I mean, c’mon, crock pots and fall go together like peanut butter and jelly, right?!

Oh, and bonus – the combination of nutmeg, maple, cloves, allspice, and cinnamon will make your house smell amazingly cozy!
I’m a huge fan of having a crunch in my oatmeal! I’m kind of weird about textures. If I have something soft, I also need it to have a big ol’ *CRUNCH*! I’m not the only one, right?? The pecans are absolutely perfect for this!
You need to give this warm bowl of fall-inspired goodness a try! It is such a good breakfast if you are looking for something healthy and filling!
Cinnamon Spiced-Pecan Crunch Oatmeal
- 2 cups uncooked steel cut oats
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1 tbs cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 8 cups water
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- honey roasted pecans for serving
Spray the inside of your crock pot with cooking spray.
Combine all ingredients in your crock pot (except the pecans) and stir well. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 8 hours, stirring occasionally. (Mine came out perfect on high for 3 hours!)
Serve with 1 oz of honey roasted pecans!
Reheat in the microwave as needed! When I reheated, I also added 1/4 cup milk for a 1 cup serving!
